Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Hansje Wonink. Since 1998 I completely fell in love with the Norwegian Forest cat and decided to start my one cattery. My first two girls I bought from my beloved girlfriend from cattery Håret Landstyker’s Myk Skatt and Myk Mus. I named my cattery after them! And now, living happily with my husband Paul in harmony with our cats and dog in the middle of the Netherlands in "De Betuwe".

When your heart meats a Norwegian Forest cat, you are sold for life! These noble en gentle animals take a special place in your heart and your life!

Practical advice

Norwegian Forest cats – and especially a kitten – enjoy the company of a friend. They don’t like to be alone al day. They prefer a playmate, and it will be nice if that’s also a Norwegian Forest cat. You must take this in consideration.

When they get older their needs can change. Then sometimes they prefer the peace and quiet environment and want to live alone or in a smaller group.

The Norwegian Forest cat likes to be outside in a safe garden or outdoor home. Total freedom (on the street) can be dangerous. There are plenty ways to keep them safe!

As a breeder I can be confident that the agreement does not undermine accountability.
